Justwatch is still down for me in Chrome, and I have a feeling it's never coming back. As I said it's up on Firefox, as well as Edge, but there is no direct link to the watchlist under each title as there was in Chrome. If you click on each poster it takes you to another page which has a watchlist button, but it's not linked to my Amazon account, so it's useless. I don't even know why it's there.

If it stays down in Chrome, the only new titles I'll be adding will be the press-release ones on IMDb.

    1. will g, I think you misunderstand the purpose of the "Watchlist" button
      on the JustWatch.com website.

JustWatch has its own app which I'm not sure exactly how it works.
You can create a JustWatch account and download the app.
I haven't used the JustWatch app, so I can't say anymore about it good or bad.

To use JustWatch.com for adding new Prime titles WITHOUT creating a JustWatch account,
first you sign in to your Amazon account in your browser.
Then you open a new browser tab and go to JustWatch.com to look at the posters
for the new Movies and TV Shows.

New on Amazon Prime Video - everything new or filter below for just Movies or TV Shows
New Movies on Amazon Prime Video
New TV Shows on Amazon Prime Video

When you right-click over a new Prime Video title's poster on the JustWatch list
and select "Open link in new tab", it opens a new browser tab with a JustWatch description
of the movie and all the places where you can watch it by Subscription, Free with Ads,
      Rent or Buy.

You do NOT click on the "Watchlist" button on the left side of the page, because
that is for the JustWatch app Watchlist - NOT for your Prime Video Watchlist.

Instead, when you open the page on JustWatch.com for a title you are interested in,
you scroll down to where it shows all the "STREAM" services where you can watch it.
Then you click on the "PRIME VIDEO Subs [HD/4K]" button here to directly open
the detail webpage for the new title on Amazon in another new browser tab.
This is when you can add it to your Prime Video Watchlist.

Myself, I prefer to type the new title into the Search field on a Prime Video webpage
in a separate browser tab and look up the movie myself. That way I can also see
the related titles, like 4K UHD, and extra copies available on channels, etc.
Then I right-click over the new movie's title in the Search results and select
"Open link in new tab" to open the Prime Video detail webpage and add it to my Watchlist.

    2. Aha yes, it should have been obvious to me that the Prime button under "Watch Now" takes you to the Amazon detail page. Now I have to catch up on the many titles that have accumulated since the site's been down in Chrome, which it still is for me btw.

    3. Whaddaya know, when I click on the Prime button to go to the detail page, the watchlist box is already checked! Thanks Justwatch for doing that for me.

    4. My computer broke, so I got a new one, and voila, Justwatch is back in Chrome! Surely it's a coincidence.

    5. Although it's now missing the Amazon banner underneath each poster that linked to the detail page, which used to be there in Chrome.

  2. I can no longer use Amazon Prime Video. All detail pages have this message:

"Your device is connected to the Internet using a VPN or proxy service. Please disable it and try again. For more help, go to amazon.com/pv-vpn."

There's no play button, just the rental box. I've Googled it, and frankly the instructions for fixing it are incomprehensible to me. (Of course this also means I can't see expirations on my watchlist.)

Any easy-to-understand help would be greatly appreciated.

    1. I should also add that the Amazon help page linked in that message is no help. Also, this is a problem on all browsers.

    2. From what I gather in researching this, it is a very bad idea to disable VPN on Windows, it's an important protection against hacking. Why it's causing a problem on APV -- and nowhere else -- is a mystery.

    3. among other reasons, people use VPNs to access georestricted content. like netflix is cracking down on passwords, this may be amazon's thing. content licenses are by region.

    4. Spoke to Amazon customer service, they told me it's my ISP's fault. Spoke to Spectrum, they told me it's not their fault. Going out of my mind.

    5. Fixed! Amazon called Spectrum for me and cleared it up. Whew.

  3. I had Hanna, Safe house & Chappie on prime and all of a sudden they became buy or rent!

    1. Hanna (2011), Safe House (2012) and Chappie (2015) were all added to Freevee on May 1
per the press release. Unfortunately Freevee titles do NOT show expiration notices.
It is very common for some new Freevee titles to be removed at the end of the month.

My advice is if you see a movie you would like to watch on Freevee,
then it would be best to watch the Freevee movie before the end of the month.
      The sooner, the better.

BTW Chappie (2015) is available on Pluto TV

  4. May 2022. You reminded us the MGM/Amazon deal closed & content being returned to Prime. I do believe every single James Bond movie is now streaming on APV. There was even an email today officially announcing the addition of the latest film "No Time To Die".

    1. Yes, all of the James Bond movies except the previous one Spectre (2015) are available now on Prime Video.

    2. So why is Amazon still expiring MGM movies en masse ???

  6. Is it just me or did JustWatch suddenly stop working last night? I can only scroll right once and when I do the scroll left button disappears. That's even though there are 143 new titles supposedly waiting for me to see them.

    1. This was in Chrome on my laptop by the way. I've tried the Silk browser on my Kindle and it looks like it might not be an issue there. Haven't tried Chrome on a different device yet.

    3. it's non-functional in all browsers for me. Nothing happens when I click on a poster.

    4. After reading your comment I noticed that nothing happens when I click on the poster in Chrome, either. I've had no problem with that OR with scrolling all the way through the list when I use the Silk browser on my Kindle Fire.

  8. This website has helped me to easily find really good expiring titles with the IMBD scores. It makes it easy and I so appreciate it.

  9. So, Amazon has crashed. That's awkward.

(First it prompted me for a captcha to verify I'm not a robot. Then it gave me an error screen if I tried to go the next screen of Prime Video. Then it also gave me an error screen if I tried to go back to the previous screen - although at first it would load the previous screen if I clicked on Go to Home Page and hit back, but then that stopped working too. Then I found out if I selected Prime Video and hit query, it brought up nothing.)

  10. I recently started streaming movies and more recently discovered this blog. I've been going through the list of movies soon expiring and have looked up many of them on IMDb to see if they interested me. It would really help to include the ratings on your list. I spent a lot of time looking up movies that I would never watch -- all the R rated ones. Including the ratings would be much appreciated.

  11. My comments on the Oct-Nov 2023 post are disappearing when I refresh my screen. Is it just me?

    1. Seems to have cleared up. Since there was a 24-hour gap between comments, and today all the 10/30 expiring titles were announced, I imagine everyone was affected.

    2. I may have spoken too soon. I just refreshed the page and my comments have disappeared again. What the hey?

    3. Richard, sorry you had such a bad time wrestling with the Blogger Spam Filter.
When I overrode your comment on the main post, publishing it with your 10/30 titles,
they simultaneously released all of these later comments on the Discussions page.
So I don't think you'll have a problem tomorrow Wednesday posting the 10/31 titles.

  12. I got an email yesterday (12/28/2023) that Amazon Prime will now be showing ads with videos:

"Starting January 29, Prime Video movies and TV shows will include limited advertisements. This will allow us to continue investing in compelling content and keep increasing that investment over a long period of time. We aim to have meaningfully fewer ads than linear TV and other streaming TV providers. No action is required from you, and there is no change to the current price of your Prime membership. We will also offer a new ad-free option for an additional $2.99 per month* that you can sign up for here."

The "here" at the end of the above paragraph goes to a sign on page for Amazon Prime. I've never heard or seen the phrase "linear TV" before. I am guessing that it means traditional broadcast networks.
